The Endoplasmic Reticulum

curls and swings

it gives a cell a place

to make its things

A rough E.R.

has ribosomes

(it) makes proteins

like the hair she combs

Without ribosomes

the E.R.’s smooth

makes lipids and fats

for body oiled and loose

I’m the Golgi Body

can’t you see?

I pack things up

then set them free!
