This project stems from Mr. Faivus’ lifelong passion for Science and the Arts.
Teaching high school science, he has prolifically developed science arts materials and techniques since 1988. Chapters on the fundamentals of physics, biology, chemistry and earth science include interactive, integrated picture, song, story, poetry, and movement.
A professional saxophonist, Mr. Faivus has a degree in Physics from UC Santa Cruz with a thesis on the acoustics of the flute and saxophone. As a science arts consultant, he collaborates with several local Arts Providers to provide direct services to students and teachers in Oakland.
